Michael Morrison delivers an action-packed adventure that’s funny and full of time-traveling antics as Hannah and her friends uncover shocking secrets that bring them into the middle of a magical fight and onto an unforgettable journey. The fast-paced plot will appeal to a variety of ages. Friendship is a key part of the story as the trip strikes an emotional core for the group, especially for Hannah who fears she and her best friend could drift apart. The connection she has with her friends goes through some ups and downs along the way as various struggles throughout lead to each of them making a discovery about themselves.
Hannah is a delightful character with a personality that is a fun fit for the genre of time travel. She calls herself old-fashioned in what she likes and in attitude with her interest in doing things like sewing, baking, and growing herbs. Her personality perfectly encompasses her ‘old soul’ and plays perfectly into how her journey throughout time leads her to her family in the past and to her destiny that will guide her future. The deep connection she has to her own family history is what grounds her, gives her strength, and provides much-needed help in chasing after a thief. The story goes deeper than an adventure through time with several surprises woven throughout that take her adventures into unexpected places. Hannah Goodheart and the Guardian of Time is an action-packed adventure into the past with an epic chase after a thief, a magical discovery of destiny, and a moving tale about family.
