Having grown up on a farm in the middle of North Dakota, Nancy O'Neill uses many of her childhood memories and life experiences as inspiration for her stories.
Nancy never planned on being a writer or author but when she was given the chance to work for a national magazine, she found that she really liked the business.
After five years as an editor, a relocation gave her the opportunity to gain experience in other industries including aerospace and technology. She then started writing poetry, short stories, company newsletters, and articles about many topics while she continued working in the corporate world.
After the birth of her son, she left the traditional job market to become a stay-at-home mom and discovered a new-found love for writing children's stories.
She has always gravitated toward anything creative but also likes tech-related challenges. She considers herself a techie geek girl even though she grew up long before the technology era.
Nancy enjoys being an author, entrepreneur, consultant, wife, and mom. She loves traveling with her family, especially to tropical climates. She lives in southern California with her husband and teenage son.

Nancy O'Neill does a beautiful job of telling such a heartwarming Christmas story. She includes so many different elements of Christmas that I am sure a little boy or girl's eyes would jump with joy while reading or being read to. While reading I felt as though I could smell the newly cut Christmas tree, or the sweet spices of the gingerbread men that were on the counter cooling, maybe even feel the coldness of the snow while outside building a snowman. This book places the reader in the middle of the story wanting more and definitely enjoying the moment. It is as though the reader can hear the sound of the bells jingling and see the Christmas lights twinkling. The warmth of the hot chocolate is so nice after being outside watching the deer play in the snow. So while reading the book, be on the lookout for Santa, Mrs. Claus and even the elves as all are working together so that every child in every part of the world has a safe and joyous Christmas.
I particularly enjoyed the illustrations knowing they were drawn by children. There are some beautiful art pieces by the children that enrich the story. It warmed my heart to know that a portion of the sales of this book will go to support a children's hospital. I hope millions of books are sold not only to help support such a great cause, but also because the story is one worth sharing.
