Guardian Redeemed is a work of romantic and metaphysical science fiction penned by author Sandra Valencia. Forming part of The Chikondra Trilogy, this lengthy and deep work centers on the personal connection between its two central figures and is recommended for adults due to scenes of a sexual nature. Our heroine is Sandra Warner, newly assigned as an administrator to help unpick the stagnant work of getting Earth to enter the Dil-Terra Interplanetary Alliance. The project is huge for this age of the planet, so when Sandra meets diplomat Warnach Sirinoya, she knows she has many bridges to build and cross in order to help him see eye to eye with her vision of how things could change.
Part diplomatic and cultural tale, part romance and deep interpersonal drama, this is a quirky mixture of a futuristic society, politics, and relations that will suit readers looking for something intellectual and complex. Author Sandra Valencia takes time and pains to develop her work with a high level of personal realism, making her characters stand out for their past life experiences and showing us how they have been molded by the tragedies of those times. It is, at its heart, a tale of true empathy and connection, which strikes a powerful metaphor for the ideas of alliance and cohesion that are present in the novel’s wider plot. Overall, I would certainly say that Guardian Redeemed is suitable for science fiction and romance fans looking for a more complex plotline and meaningful conclusion than your average romance.
