Grim Nora and the Sign of Ouroboros continues Nora’s dangerous journey as she is forced to flee from her home after pursuers, under Vincent Reznick’s orders, try to capture her and put the people she loves in danger. After traveling with the wizard Malachi and experiencing some struggles that cause them to get separated, Nora finds herself feeling lost in a strange and unfamiliar world. However, she is determined to find the next piece of the Morrigan, which is a powerful weapon that Reznick is also after. She needs to win this battle and help everyone, especially the love of her life, Aidan. Will Nora be able to survive such a treacherous journey and return home to the people she loves?
Grim Nora and the Sign of Ouroboros by A.M. Albaugh is an action-packed and magical story. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and I could barely put the book down every time Nora was in a life-threatening situation. I applaud her for being able to endure such hardships and continuing to push forward despite the danger. I admired her even more whenever she admitted her shortcomings during certain situations and learned new things from the mistakes she had previously made. The character growth is one of the best parts of this book. I also enjoyed reading about the relationships and connections I witnessed among the characters. My most favorite is the bond that Nora has with her brother. It warmed my heart to see them being protective of each other. Another character I truly loved is Aidan. I was drawn in by his positivity and jolly personality. He is the sunshine everyone needs after a stormy night and I feel that he truly brings great comfort to the people around him. Overall, I found Grim Nora and the Sign of Ouroboros to be remarkable and exceptionally well-written. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
