Stanley Yoder has written a delightful little children’s book in Grandpa, I Wanna Go Fishing. He shares the time when all his grandchildren were with him and spending the night in their treehouse. What kid doesn't love a treehouse? The children want him to read them the books they brought, but he has a better idea. Grandpa decides to share the true story about the time he went fishing with his grandpa. The preparation for the adventure was typical, but that day ended differently than anyone would have imagined. In the end, Stanley’s two brothers save his life. This story is a fishing adventure your child will never forget.
Grandpa, I Wanna Go Fishing is an exciting children’s story told by Stanley Yoder. His writing is entertaining and will keep the attention of any child reading this book or having the book read to them. Most children’s books I review are made up, but Stanley’s book is based on an adventure that took place in his own life. He is a master storyteller. The artwork in this book is excellent and children will enjoy looking at the pictures as you read the book to the younger ones and older ones read the story for themselves. Be sure to use this book to open a dialog with your children about safety. Be ready to answer questions about being careful when doing things that might involve a little danger. Great story! Well written! Children need more books like this one.
