Good Night at the Zoo is an animal storybook by Beatriz Maciá for children aged 6 and under. The baby animals need to go home after playing with their friends all day. It will soon be time for them to go to bed, but they do not appear to be tired. They tell their playmates goodnight and go home to their families. Baby crocodile tells his friend, “See you later, alligator.” Greedy giraffe wants to munch on the green leaves instead of brushing his teeth. Those little lambs are wearing cute jammies and ladybug gets a warm hug from her mom. Joey kangaroo loves his storybook, and soon all the animals will be tucked in their beds, fast asleep.
This adorable animal storybook will delight small children. The wonderfully sketched book cover and other illustrations have very vibrant colours that will attract the attention of young readers, along with the fun rhymes. Beatriz Maciá has written a nice story that shows a variety of zoo animals preparing for their bedtime. They have different ways to be organised that are amusing and similar to some kids' own bedtime routines. Good Night at the Zoo has educational values and children will learn about the types of animals at the zoo. They will see where Joey the kangaroo sleeps, which is different from most animals. Beatriz Maciá wrote a very short, but lovely story for children. Good Night at the Zoo will bring smiles to small readers in the classrooms and their homes.
