Andrea Hyatt puts a fresh twist on two of the most popular children's tales with Goldie and the Three Kind Bears. This picture book follows the story of a young girl named Goldie and a bear family of three who unexpectedly find her in their cozy little cottage after a walk in the woods. The bears are kind-hearted, and they let Goldie stay with them, eat their cereal, and read books in one of their cozy beds. To repay their favor, Goldie decides to make them a Gingerbread Man. After taking the Gingerbread Man out of the oven, the bears are eager to eat their delicious treat. But once they leave the cottage for an afternoon hike, the Gingerbread Man plans his escape. When Goldie eventually finds him, she realizes it's even better to offer others the gift of kindness.

Andrea Hyatt has spun a wholesome yarn that will leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling. Goldie and the Three Kind Bears is a tale of adventure, family, and fun. It also teaches a gentle lesson about kindness and shows how it leads to new friendships and makes the world a better place for everyone. Inspired by two classic fairy tales, Hyatt has written a captivating story that has something of its own to offer young readers. Children are going to love this book. The storytelling is engaging, and illustrator Baran Sabahi's artwork makes the characters even more lively and fun. Goldie is an adorable child, and her relationship with the three bears is the beating heart of the narrative. Grab a copy and teach your kids a thing or two about kindness!

In Goldie and the Three Kind Bears, a children’s picture book by Andrea Hyatt, when the Three Bears returned from their morning walk, they discovered a girl had broken into their home. She’d eaten their breakfast, broken a favorite chair, and even curled up in one of their beds to read one of their books. The bears should have been angry with Goldie, but she looked so frightened they felt sorry for her and offered her a home. To say thank you, she baked a Gingerbread Man for them, but will it escape before the bears and Goldie return from their blueberry-picking trip?

Goldie and the Three Kind Bears by Andrea Hyatt is a wonderful children’s picture book with lovely illustrations by Baran Sabahi. This story is a play on The Gingerbread Man and Goldilocks and the Three Bears, with a brief mention of The Three Little Pigs. While it is a lovely story that kids will thoroughly enjoy reading and having a giggle over, it also contains a message: it’s nice when others are kind to you, but it’s even nicer when you can show someone else the same kindness. The illustrations help bring this well-written, fun story to life, and it’s one that kids will want to read over and over again. It very cleverly combines elements of different popular fairytales into one story that teaches children the joy of receiving but, most of all, of giving. This is a lovely story and I highly recommend it for children everywhere.

Author Andrea Hyatt was inspired to write Goldie and the Three Kind Bears as she baked gingerbread men in her kitchen. In the story, three bears return from their morning walk to find a visitor in their home. Instead of getting upset over her sudden appearance, the bears wonder if she is hungry or tired. Baby Bear determines that the young child, Goldie, needs a place to stay, and the family welcomes her into their home. She had eaten their food and destroyed some of their property, but the bears were still willing to help her. To show them her appreciation, Goldie makes the bears a gingerbread man. After Goldie and the bears leave for an afternoon walk, the gingerbread man looks for a hiding place and Goldie must decide if she and her new family will eat him.

Kindness and compassion are the focus of Andrea Hyatt's sweet tale. Hyatt brings together well-known characters and unites them with gentleness and baked treats. The bear family helps Goldie, and she extends a caring attitude to the gingerbread man, who, in turn, promises to show goodwill to others. This children's story brings up talking points for youngsters to discuss with caregivers and educators, making it a great selection for any adult who hopes to instill good values in the youth around them. The illustrations by Baran Sabahi are bright and colorful, drawing children's eyes to every page. Readers who enjoy fun tales with good morals will appreciate the love and warmth in Goldie and the Three Kind Bears.
