Black writes in a variety of genres. Mystery, romance, or fantasy, her character-driven stories combine imagination and experience to weave dramatic plots with believable characters in descriptive contemporary settings, sometimes with fantasy worlds within them. In most of her publications, a four-legged character is included, even if it’s a cameo appearance.
The author of five novels, two anthologies, and a dozen novelettes and short stories, Black has received awards from Readers’ Favorite, Literary Titan, KCT International Literary, and International Impact. She published her first story in 2010 and her first novel in 2014.
When asked what inspired her to write Goldfield Forest, the author said, “I see magic in rainforests, have a passion for animals, and find the idea of little people and mystical creatures almost believable, so creating Goldfield Forest made sense.”
Black lives in the United States with her husband and two alien creatures disguised as cats. One of them is rumored to be ET’s second cousin. The rumor, however, has not been confirmed.
