For Love of Medusa is a romance fantasy novel by Lianne Kelly. Jason Walker, a British university professor, is determined to show the existence of the Olympian gods and prove his detractors wrong, particularly his brother and university colleagues. After arriving at an elusive island, he barges into Athena's temple, where he comes across the Gorgon Medusa. Cursed for millennia, Medusa is ready to strike her latest victim down when Jason's eccentric personality and fearless curiosity force her to pause. While conversing, Medusa and Jason start developing an irresistible mutual attraction neither can deny. With the god of love, Eros, trying to meddle in the affairs of the unlikely pair, will Jason and Medusa be able to find a way to be together? And at what price?
An intoxicating blend of romance, humor, and supernatural thrills make For Love of Medusa a scrumptious treat for romance and fantasy aficionados. Author Lianne Kelly tells a captivating tale of two star-crossed lovers from wildly different worlds finding each other and trying to navigate their way through the treacherous games of the Olympian gods. Kelly makes sure to equip the two main characters with distinct and vibrant personalities that hold your attention and make you want to root for them. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of humor sprinkled throughout the pages. The witty dialogue and clever back-and-forth between several characters keep you entertained without a single dull moment throughout the entire book. All in all, a fantastical romantic odyssey you don't want to miss.
