Great storyline and interesting characters fill the pages of this suspenseful page-turner and I couldn’t put it down from the moment I began reading it. Detective Katie Scott is an intelligent, likable personality that fits perfectly into this kind of story and series. I thought the entire story was awesome but the end was phenomenally written. Five well-deserved stars!

Complex, emotive and highly intriguing from start to finish, author Jennifer Chase knows what a mystery-loving audience wants, and she delivers it in spades. Having read a couple of the Katie Scott series before, I was delighted to return to such a realistic and enjoyable protagonist, and of course devastated to find her own family at the heart of the tragedy. It’s this close emotional narration and realistic quality which gives the book such powerful impetus, making us readers turn page after page as we root for Katie and watch her try to heal her broken family with her considerable set of detective skills. What results is a truly compelling tale with an engaging and surprising plot and plenty of procedural crime features for diehard fans. Overall, Flowers On her Grave comes highly recommended for mystery, suspense and crime fans everywhere. A must-read.

Fast-paced, suspenseful and action-packed, Flowers On Her Grave by Jennifer Chase had me hooked right from the moment I started reading it. The narrative is outstanding, the characters are remarkably developed and the pace is just perfect to give you an adrenaline rush. Katie’s character is fantastic; she is intelligent, determined and confident enough in her abilities to have you rooting for her from the beginning. The mystery was very immersive. I wanted to know how Katie could prove her uncle’s innocence, what she will do to solve both cases in the limited time she had. Katie is the perfect example of a strong female lead that drives the story and makes you fall in love with it. I was biting my nails, I was holding my breath and I did not expect the end! This is sheer genius. Absolutely brilliant!
