Judith Falcon’s Flirtation In France features Fleur and Quinn’s romantic journey. Quinn has never thought about marriage. Fleur is a widow who had spent ten years in a loveless marriage. Fleur wants to spend one night with Quinn. She is sure he could offer her a night of pleasure before they part ways in England. Quinn is more than happy to oblige. However, he wants more time with Fleur. His brother's wife is pregnant and already has four children. Quinn offers to provide a person to help Rose with the children. Adam is skeptical, but Quinn even vouches for Fleur. He convinces Fleur to spend time helping Rose during the day and spending evenings with him. However, Rose tells Adam her mother is expected in two weeks. Quinn knows he has to make the most of every moment with Fleur.
Judith Falcon's novella offers a whirlwind romance that can blossom into more. Fleur’s impulsive decision makes her consider the possibilities of being a parent. It was easy to see how she felt her life was lacking after being around the Graystone children. Quinn’s infatuation with Fleur proves he was maturing from a womanizer into a considerate husband. The alternating views between Fleur and Quinn were seamless. It was easy to see the inner turmoil they felt as they fell for each other. The vivid details of every moment they spent together went beyond the sensual acts. The places they visited, and the engaging dialogue gave depth to the plot. Two themes dominated the story: being open to new experiences and being direct with what you want. Flirtation in France will appeal to readers who enjoy romances with sizzling bedroom scenes while still having a plot that shows character growth in all aspects of life.
