Five Will Die by L.A. Detwiler is a psychological thriller with an interesting plot. Becky has just started work at the Evermore Publishing Team, looking for a new start, but this may not be what she had in mind. Everyone in the office has a dark secret and no one wants anyone else to know what they are. While Becky wanted to look forward to a new future, the past is about to crash with the present in a sickening and horrific manner. By Friday, Evermore Publishing will lose one member of staff to another but things will get much worse. The past has risen its ugly head and retribution is the name of the game but how far will the killer go?
Five Will Die by L. A. Detwiler is the first in a series of five books. It was a decent story with a good plot and each chapter is written from one person’s POV. Flashbacks allow the story to come trickling out and the further you get into the plot, the more you begin to understand what drives the killer. The main characters are well developed, allowing you to get to know them well and each has their own flaws. If you work in an office environment, reading this book might just have you watching everyone; while you think you know the people you work with, you really don’t. There are plenty of plot twists and lots of action and it’s a fun, quirky read, especially for those interested in thrillers.
