Patty loves fish, and it does not matter whether they are big, small, or come in different colors. Her official nickname is Fish Patty, and because of this, she is the president of her school's marine club. Unfortunately, Patty and her family need to relocate. This means she will have to leave her current school, and she will also have to say goodbye to the marine club. Her mother has found a new job in a different city, but when she gets to her new home, she is delighted to discover that her uncle owns an aquarium store. Patty enjoys her time at the store and bonds with one of the fish that she names Petra. But one day, on her visit to the aquarium store, she is shocked to find that Petra has been sold, and she has no idea where she has been taken. Will Patty ever meet Petra again? Find out in Fish Patty: Fish and Fin Book 1 by Cindi Handley Goodeaux.
Fish Patty by Cindy Handley Goodeaux shows readers that at only eight years old, Patty has a big dream of becoming a marine biologist. This is an inspiring message to young boys and girls. It was a great plot twist when Patty's love of fish led her to a new friend with similar preferences. This is an awesome story with realistic characters and illustrations. The colors are attractive, the pictures are lively, and Patty is depicted as a fun-loving child. I hope to read more books from the Fish and Fin series because I enjoyed every minute of this cute tale.
