This is the second book in The Coming Home to Brewster. The author takes the Biblical account of Ruth and creatively creates a modern tale that will appeal to Christian readers. The setting is small town, Brewster, North Dakota. Ruthie has long wanted to leave Brewster. She envisions an exciting life elsewhere.
Ruth runs the local radio station. She lives with the Deejay. Eventually she kicks him out. Her life is not satisfying. When a former boyfriend returns to town Ruth may have a second chance at happiness.
Finding Ruth is an entertaining read. I saw very little to connect it to the Biblical account of Ruth. Roxanne Henke style is appealing. I feel as if we are friends sitting on the porch swing as she shares a tale. Ruth is a complex character. The story is fast paced and believable. The characters are interesting. This book will warm your heart.
