Ferdinand's Antarctic Adventure by Kate Reschner is the story of Ferdinand, a pleasantly plump and healthy Magellan penguin who was happy. Ferdinand lived in Tierra del Fuego and he only knew about his island which was lush and green. It was a penguins' paradise and the penguins had places to hide and rest. They dug deep burrows in the damp ground and escaped when there were predators. The place had many beaches as it was surrounded by the ocean on all sides. Ferdinand never thought of snow and ice because it was summer and he was not aware of a place called Antarctica. He got married to his girlfriend Marguerite and was a happy penguin living with his wife and two chicks till a terrifying storm came and altered his life. He realized he had reached Antarctica. Would he be able to go back to Marguerite and his two chicks?
