The details of the characters as they face their opponents, answer questions, and continue their journey is amazing. I love the way Tripp defines each person with their own backstory so well that the reader feels themselves being pulled along with them. Gods, Goddesses, and heroes going through the motions of the epic war over who will maintain control of Earth will keep the reader turning pages to see what happens next. I recommend Fate Weaver to adults and young adults that love a great story full of adventure and excitement.

Get ready for battles between heroes who have personal issues to resolve and godlike, otherworldly abilities: enhanced speed and endurance, fire controlling, and multidimensional teleportation. Fate Weaver mixes themes of romance, jealousy, friendship, valor, sacrifice, and power to create an enticing and unpredictable storyline. The characters are relatable and easy to get familiar with, and the many plot twists make the story feel like a fun puzzle to solve. For a debut novel by Brian Tripp, it gets many things right but could improve on a few things, like how the worldbuilding needs to be clearer and less complicated. Still, I enjoyed the other aspects of the book. Readers who love fantasy and Greek mythology should definitely consider reading Fate Weaver.

They set out on their mission to find the cavern deep in the Arholm Peaks where the tower is hidden. They must face not only the monsters who now surround the mountains but difficult moral dilemmas. Those who have taken this path before have never returned. When they are staring defeat in the face, one child discovers an ancient and powerful mask that has the ability to overcome the forces against them. The choices they each make will have their own consequences which they will have to live with.

The action begins almost immediately and is carried on throughout Fate Weaver. The plot is a good balance of action and the relationship dynamics between the three leading characters, Ashe, Levy, and Quinn. I loved the obstacles and ethical dilemmas the children faced and this highlighted their moral compass perfectly. There are great battle scenes that are really brought to life by Brian Tripp's amazing ability for descriptive narrative. I especially loved the final battle; I was literally on the edge of my seat. The whole concept of the plot was around choices and moral dilemmas. To make the right choice for the long term while in the short term, someone may suffer. As the children embark on their mission there is also a comparison to achieving any goal. You may want to achieve something in your life but are you willing to put in the effort to reach success. I loved the characters of Mallory and Ashe; they were incredibly strong and formidable female characters. There is a shocking twist towards the end and the final sentence really left me wanting to read the second installment in this series.

The three of them need to find the tower, claim the throne, and become the heroes that the people so desperately need them to be. However, they need to show immense strength, stability of character, and trust in each other if they want to survive. Can they do it?

The fast pace, perfect character development, and original plot made Fate Weaver stand out for me. There is no shortage of action in the story, and there is no shortage of growth as well. Brian Tripp paces everything just right to make sure the reader never loses interest in the story or the characters. Ashe, Quinn, and Levy make a great team. The three of them understand each other, they rely on each other and support each other. While many young adult novels feature a trio of main leads, not many can convey the camaraderie that these three do. The descriptions are magical in this story and make the reading experience so much better. The imagery is fantastic and just so realistic that I felt like I was transported to where these three were. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys strong characters and a brilliant plot.
