When Micah Murphy ran off to Los Angeles, she thought she had finally rid herself of her past and the Los Lobos gang from Chicago. If only she had known how wrong she was. The gang had gone ahead to kill her parents in Florida. As if this was not enough, they had tracked Micah down in Los Angeles and killed her sister Laini. Micah had also brought along her best friend Rowan in a bid to protect her from Michael Infante, Rowan’s brother, a dangerous psychopath and criminal back in Chicago. With both Michael Infante and Los Lobos ruthlessly coming after her and the people she loves, what will happen to Micah? Get yourself T. Kennington and C. Roth’s Fate: Karma and Fate Duet to know how it all goes down.
If you are looking for a romance novel laced with hot, steamy romantic escapades, a tale of sex, love, guns, sleuths, crime, blackmail, loyalty, vengeance, and secrets, among other things, T. Kennington and C. Roth’s Fate is just what you should be looking for. Kennington and Roth forge an intriguing plot for a gripping read. They kept me on edge with suspense and thrills. They breathe life into the scenes with vivid depictions. I felt like I was right there beside every character, helplessly watching their every move. Kennington and Roth depict the characters’ emotions in a sensational way. This coupled with bringing out the wonderfully developed cast’s traits made it easy for me to connect and empathize with the characters. The trauma both Micah and Rowan went through in their pasts left me so heartbroken. Although Fate is the second installment in the Karma and Fate Duet series, it is a stand-alone book. I loved it and I’m looking forward to reading more installments in the series.
