Faster, Annihilators! by Travis Hupp is a stunning collection of poems in several different categories; love, hope, politics, and despair. We look at life through Hupp's eyes. In A Thing Alive, he talks about his heart being something alive. He gives it almost human characteristics. In Loud, I loved the phrase: "There is much to be changed here." Nefarious Fire talks about the possibility of Hell and that he might go there because of his lifestyle. Regards talks about the fact that it doesn't matter what pronouns you use; you still want God's blessing. There are also a couple of vivid and prolific drawings. Timid Breed talks about how answers are hard to come by. In Bold Blue, I loved the phrase: "It's a very exciting time to be alive."
Faster, Annihilators! by Travis Hupp has one of the best selections of poems I have read in a long time. He captures you right from the start and keeps you on a journey throughout. These poems talk about his life as a person going through a lot of issues like being who he is. In Fragile. Problematic, he obviously went through some kind of trauma because it ends with the words: "he left me broken in the attic." The poems are very prolific in nature and stay with you long after you read them. They are beautifully written and speak volumes about his life as he struggles with being who he is. I highly recommend these poems to any lover of the genre.
