Falling for the Suitor is a work of fiction in the romance and interpersonal drama subgenres, and it forms part of the Suitor Science book series. It was penned for the adult reading audience by author Holly Kerr but does not contain any graphic content. In a deliciously modern romance premise that is sure to enchant fans of the genre, we find ourselves in the world of reality television with our protagonist Bexley. Told from both her perspective and that of The Suitor, Grayson Grant, will these two figures survive twelve weeks of constant cameras on them and see if love can thrive whilst Bexley competes against twenty-four other women for his heart?
Fans of televised dating shows will certainly enjoy a work like this, where we get a glimpse of life from in front of the cameras. I really enjoyed the way author Holly Kerr explores what it must be like to be in the public focus and know that your every move is being filmed. The way that Grayson has to behave, owing to his contract, certainly causes some really dramatic and fun moments in the plot! Bexley was an unusual protagonist to be thrust into the world of reality TV, and she was so relatable in the way Kerr narrates her and presents her naturalistic and humorous dialogue. For a light, enjoyable, and very sweet modern romance novel, I’d say readers need to look no further than Falling for the Suitor. I’d certainly love to read more in this series.
