Exploring the World of Fractions is a children’s educational book written by Anita Widjaja, with illustrations by Andreea Hompoth-Voicu. The book aims to help young learners understand fractions through interactive exercises featuring cakes and glasses of juice. It follows a young boy named Adam and his sister as they play with their robot and animal friends. The book includes tasks such as comparing different fractions of cakes and asking readers to identify which portion is the largest, smallest, or represents half or a whole portion. There are also visual exercises involving coloring and counting. Children will learn to add various fractions, identify fractions from differently shaped portions, and differentiate between a quarter, one-eighth, two-thirds, and many other portions.

Anita Widjaja’s Exploring the World of Fractions is an essential educational tool for anyone wishing to teach children the basics of fractions. This book helps young readers learn to cut a cake so that everyone receives equal-sized slices, or to pour juice into glasses to ensure that each friend gets the same amount. It makes learning fractions both practical and enjoyable, while also encouraging critical thinking in children. The book has a birthday theme, which makes it easier to understand the fundamental concepts in a relatable way. The inclusion of answers at the end of the book allows parents and educators to easily guide children through the exercises and verify their understanding. Colorful illustrations capture the reader's attention, alongside fun characters like cats, dinosaurs, and elephants, which will spark children's imaginations. I enjoyed reading this book and recommend that parents and educators share it with their children to help them learn about fractions in an engaging way.
