Expat - Part 2: Never Growing Up by Raji Abuzalaf is about the life of an expatriate living in America. The book is an autobiographical journey which is written in four parts. The first part depicts the author's life from his childhood days up to high school. The second part is about the author's life after high school up to his first job assignment. This book - again like the first - reveals the author's passion for music and it speaks of romance and adventure.
The author's university years are hilarious and fun, filled with romance and adventures. The book gives an insight into the author's love for music. That passion runs through the background of the whole book. All the songs are linked to the recorded version on Sound Cloud where you can hear the songs being played. There are a few poems, too, which the author has penned. The poems interspersed with lyrics and text make it an exciting read. The book can be seen as the author's trip down Memory Lane. Of the many poems written in the book, the poem 'Thoughts' is contemplative. Much of the author's thinking and musing is penned as poems. The song lyrics are breezy. The second part is poignant and speaks about the author's love and zest for life.
The style of the second book is also, like the first one, simple, informal and light. The book ends with the author taking up an overseas assignment in Algeria.
