Wow, there was so much more to this book than originally caught my eye when I picked it up. Packed full, and I mean FULL with inspirational quotes, recipes, trivia, “Did You Know” boxes, and heartwarming stories, there is a little bit of everything in "Everything Romance".
I actually laughed out loud when I read some of the pet names people call each other. Sure, I was used to things like “Baby Face,” “Honey Buns,” and “Sweetie,” but I had never heard people call one another “Big Diesel,” “Lieutenant Love,” or “Wuggles.” To each his own, I guess.
Seriously, if you can’t find something to enjoy in this book, then you just have no romantic bone in your body. There is a list of 100 suggested romantic movies, a list of creative ways to text “I love you” to someone without actually using those words, Valentine Gift ideas, and song lyrics that are all about love. They also include what they call “Love Boosters” and “Love Busters”. For example, a love booster would be to smile at your spouse every time he walks into the room. A love buster would be to remember all past grudges and ways you feel your spouse has wronged you.
Sure, this book isn’t something you’d read through in one sitting like a novel, but it is a good little book to keep on the shelf or give someone as an engagement or wedding present that they can use as a reference source to spice things up or keep things fun.
