Everything is a F*cking Story: Recognize & Rewrite the Stories that Steer Your Life by Martin Grunburg is the long-awaited prequel to his previous works, The Habit Factor and The Pressure Paradox. This book completes the Personal Mastery Trilogy that the author didn’t originally intend, but like the previous two books that preceded it, this book completes your journey to self-mastery. As the question remains about what is effective when it comes to right thinking, this prequel posits that our thinking more often than not happens in the form of a story; an imaginative narrative that, if we take the responsibility to control, direct, and steer our thoughts to our own worthwhile goals and ideals, we are renewing our mind and body toward a better version of ourselves, and therefore, we become more focused, healthier, and productive.
Martin Grunburg is no psychiatrist or psychologist. Everything is a F*cking Story is the product of his personal journey into exploring and identifying patterns at what he calls the intersection of thought and achievement--what works and what doesn’t, the same efforts he has put into his previous books. Grunburg is doing something right and interesting here, as professionals worldwide coming from various fields of discipline employ and recommend the ideas in his works. No skill is more valuable and harder to master than the ability to condition our minds to think correctly. After reading this book, I came to the realization that if you can think through things better than others, you’ll have fewer problems and be happier. So how can we recognize and rewrite the stories that we think about ourselves? This book is worth reading for its relevant heuristics and observations that the time to get your story right is now and wherever you may be.
