Even Fleas Say Please, written by Lindsay Meleshko and illustrated by Robin DeWitt and Patricia DeWitt-Grush, is an educational book for young children. The book comprises a few short rhymes about situations where children should say 'please' and 'thank you.' Every case is unique, and Lindsay Meleshko even includes circumstances for which a 'no thank you' would be appropriate, a funny situation that children will enjoy. From a fashionable flamingo who saves you a space to a chimp who shares his last shrimp and even a goose who rides a moose and lets you know your shoelace is untied, this little book will teach any young child that there are a lot of situations where 'please' and 'thank you' are important to say.
Even Fleas Say Please by Lindsay Meleshko is very enchanting. The situations created by the author within the pages are funny and educational - a real treat to read. This is a book that I will read to my little one when she has to start learning about the importance of having good manners. It feels that manners and politeness take a backseat nowadays, but this story shows how important it is to say 'please' and 'thank you.' I hope more parents read this story to their children. The illustrations by Robin DeWitt and Patricia DeWitt-Grush just take this sweet book to the next level of enjoyment. Every scenario was depicted with a touch of humor, and It is simply a must to look at every single illustration and see the story they tell on their own.
