Torq might be the most dangerous man on Earth right now, but that does not mean Briearie is scared of him. He is part of the Forsaken army that she is ordered to stop, but more than that, she is a spy who is ready to do it all to complete her job. However, that does not change the fact that she finds Torq just a little too attractive. Torq must do whatever he can to stop this woman from getting too close, but there is something about her that just keeps calling him. They are polar opposites, but they crave each other. What are they going to do? Are they going to do their duty or are they going to fall into temptation?
Enlightened Hope by V. K. Walker is the third novel in a series that I had no idea existed and now I am dying to read all the novels in the series. The moment I read the blurb, I knew that I was going to like this book. I had no idea that I would become so immersed in this novel that I would skip my dinner and prefer to read on, and I regret nothing. The chemistry between Torq and Briearie is off the charts, they were perfectly different yet so much alike. They made their story work; they ensured that the reader was immersed in them and wanting to know what they were going to do. At times, I just hated Torq. I wanted to bash his head and wanted Briearie to just get her head straight on. Things worked out brilliantly in the end. I enjoyed the tension and the constant nail-biting urge. This is novel was a wonderful surprise that I cannot wait to revisit.
