Lee Ann Rubsam has given us another excellent resource for those desiring to live a godly life. Encouragement from God’s Word is just that. After a short introduction about some of the hard times that Lee Ann has faced, she dives into sharing some of the encouraging Bible verses that sustained her and her family. She sets the verses in order according to different sections. The first section concerns the great value God places upon you. Next, she deals with God showing His will to us and guiding us along the way. Lee Ann continues this 'topic with verses' format throughout the book. The idea is to go to the table of contents, choose the topic you desire to study, and then read the encouraging verses. Lee Ann is a firm believer in the power of God’s Word.
Lee Ann Rubsam shares this book using God’s Word. Since no one can improve on God’s Word, Lee Ann has collected an assortment of verses, categorized them, and made them available for all to read. So, if you need encouragement but don’t know where to look in the Bible, this book is just what the doctor ordered. Lee Ann does not dilute the Word by explaining the verses’ meaning. Instead, she allows God to speak through His Word. The value of this book is found in the fact that Lee Ann has taken the time to organize the verses for ease of use. As a result, this book is full of wisdom and guidance from God Himself. This book indeed encourages. Encouragement from God’s Word is the third book I have reviewed from Lee Ann. You can’t do better than to share the Word.
