The book is fast paced and adventurous with a lot of twists and turns in the plot. The descriptions are detailed and descriptive, making the scenes very visual. The imagery is wonderful and stimulates all the senses. The author weaves the subplots into the main plot effortlessly and with fluidity. The portrayal of characters has been handled well and they complement the plot of an imaginative quest. Along with the adventure, the story also has wit and humor. It is a book not only kids will enjoy, but also adults will relish reading the adventures of Eli.
The book sets the tone for the next volume that will keep readers entertained with Eli Arnold and his adventures. The characters are all lovable and this clever plot will keep readers glued to it until the very end. The book is a fun-filled and engaging read for everyone.
