Eddy, one of the two characters in the colorful children's book Eddy the Farting Pug by Jeffrey Blatt, wakes up and finds a bowl of marshmallows. He's having them for breakfast, but his friend Corky the Corgi already knows that nothing good will come of this - especially not out of Eddy's fluffy behind. After all, it doesn't take much to make the little pug fart. For Eddy, farting is some special kind of art. But in this book, his artful farts lead Eddy and Corky on an adventure of a different kind. While they are out and about, they see and steal a glider. Little did they know that Eddy's farts would catapult them high into the air - but can that possibly have a good ending?
If you love dogs or have kids who love funny animal stories, then Eddy the Farting Pug by Jeffrey Blatt is a very good choice. I am an adult, but I found this story to be absolutely hilarious. Dog farts are just a normal part of life if you have a dog, or more than one dog. Obviously, the way farts work in this story is totally different from real life, but that's the nice thing about books for children: you can be as creative as you want to tell an entertaining story. I think this book would be great to read to children while they look at the illustrations (they are very well done!). It didn't take me long to get through this book as it was a short reading experience. It was a lovely little story and I have even already recommended it to someone else!
