Du Rose Legacy by KT Bowes picks up the story of Logan and Hana where the second book of the series, Hana Du Rose left off. Trouble seems to follow the newlyweds wherever they turn. On top of that, Hana is acutely aware her new husband is keeping many secrets from her. Overwhelmed by this, she wonders if she can actually cope with such a marriage, on top of her children’s wariness of their mother’s new husband. Then, when dispute strikes amidst the Du Rose family, Hana is left in the dark. Can Logan and Hana survive the first year of marriage without more issues?
It’s very difficult to summarize the third book of the Du Rose Mysteries without giving away too much. All I can say with complete certainly is that Miss Bowes has done it again! Pieces start to fall into place with ease as secrets come to light. I found myself slightly infuriated with Hana and Logan at points though because they were each as stubborn as the other! This novel brings with it not only memorable characters, but the beauty of New Zealand and the richness of the Maori culture. I think some of my favorite parts were learning the words and traditions. Such a strong sense of family is admirable, even though loyalty often comes with a cost. I certainly will be reading on in the series, and I am eager to find out where life takes Logan and Hana. Du Rose Legacy is a five-star read, sure to delight women’s fiction lovers everywhere!
