Author Haile Gebre Egziabher bases his book "Dream for World Unity" on Christian principles. He clearly defines the virtues needed to achieve the future ,as he envisions. More than half of this book is devoted to moral standards. I agree with the author ,we must begin by defining and promoting moral standards. For change to take place, we must begin to love people ,and not things. We love in a materialistic world where we judge our success by what we own. We should judge our success by how much we love.
Mr. Egziabher makes some excellent points in his book. I do not believe world peace can be achieved by man. Only when Christ comes again ,will we be united and will His peace reign. I do believe that what Egziabher proposes are worthy goals that we should strive toward.
"Dream for World Unity" is written in a simple easy to read manner. I was disappointed in the definition of marriage and that Holy Scriptures were not included to back up his suggestions.
