Fifteen-year-old Nicola Johnson moves to an old house in upstate New York with her family. After arrival, Nicola finds a massive desk in her room with a drawer she can't open. At school, her new friend, Carson, tells Nicola that her house is haunted! Local legend says that a teenage girl named Evelyn died there because of a prank by her brothers around 150 years ago. Since then, strange, disturbing things have started happening in the house. Soon, Nicola's porcelain dolls disappear one by one from her room, and another school friend, Lilly, offers to hold a séance with an Ouija board. Do You Know Who Killed Me? by Sara Furlong is a classic ghost story with an unexpected twist.

You will enjoy Sara Furlong's captivating book if you are an avid spooky stories lover like myself. Do You Know Who Killed Me? is a wonderful combination of genres, including family drama, for Nicola dives into the history of Evelyn's family to unlock shocking secrets. Sara lovingly depicts the characters, adding humorous features. Nicola can be clumsy, especially when she's nervous after meeting an attractive guy, and Carson eases the stress by eating snacks. Lilly sometimes is overly chatty, but she pulls herself together to help her friend in danger. Furlong inspires us to be compassionate and masterfully creates the ambiance of a haunted house. The plot startled me with fascinating turns I wasn't expecting, like the name of Evelyn's killer. I recommend it to young adult fans of paranormal fiction, mystery, thriller, and suspense genres.

In Do You Know Who Killed Me? by Sara Furlong, 15-year-old Nicola has just moved into an old house with her parents. She makes new friends, and with their help, she discovers that her house is haunted by a girl who died there long ago. Nicola and her new friends have a séance to try to connect with the ghost, and things keep progressing until Nicola goes missing herself. While Nicola tries her best to bring herself back, her friends are also working as hard as they can to get her back.

Do You Know Who Killed Me? by Sara Furlong is not just any haunted house story. While the beginning might sound clichéd, it has a unique twist that makes it worth reading. The plot is somewhat complex, and Sara has done a stellar job of simplifying it and keeping it brief. The ghost’s storyline is also a little heavy, which adds to why it is a good fit for teens. I also like the title; it creates initial interest, and you already know a mystery exists. Another significant and unexpected aspect is Nicola’s friends. They have not known each other for long but are highly dedicated to bringing Nicola back. This is not just a ghost story but a tale of friendship.

Short and flavored with mystery and suspense, Do You Know Who Killed Me? is a paranormal novella for kids and young adults. Sara Furlong weaves an engaging yarn with a fast-paced plot and likable characters so that you find yourself flying through the pages. Furlong's narrative is crisp and concise, with no room left for filler or fat. This is not a character-driven story, but Nicola is someone you can't help but find appealing. I especially enjoyed her scenes with her friends; their friendship and camaraderie were some of the story's highlights for me. All in all, it will appeal to anyone who loves paranormal mysteries.

In Do You Know Who Killed Me? by Sara Furlong, Nicola, and her family moved into a new house. After her friends told her that the house she lived in was haunted, they decided to have a séance while Nicola’s parents were visiting her grandmother. The answers they received during the séance sent the teens running out of the house. Nicola’s parents returned home to find that their usually responsible daughter was missing, and there was no explanation for where she was. Nicola’s friends investigated the history of the haunted house in an attempt to figure out where the new girl in town had gone and hopefully find a way to help her get home safely. Will Nicola’s friends be able to find out what happened or where their new friend has disappeared to? What did the ghost want, and why was she stealing the dolls that Nicola held so dear?

Do You Know Who Killed Me? by Sara Furlong is a mysterious ride through a supernatural world about teens that decided to try to talk to the ghost in a haunted house. The curious teens will hold the attention of young adults that love suspenseful ghost stories. I love the way that Nicola’s friends chose to research the area's history, and Nicola’s house in particular, to try to solve Nicola’s disappearance. The investigative curiosity of the young adults in the story will inspire readers to help people in need as well as encourage them never to give up hope, no matter how bad things might seem. I recommend this book to young adults who love a great supernatural tale.
