In this children's picture book titled, Do You Know What Your Parents Do When You’re Asleep?, author Sonya Annita Song demonstrates how parents can have fun too. Parents can still be child-like, in other words. At least that is how the illustrator Kate Fallahee shows and the author writes about parents playing with their children's toys while their kids are in bed, dreaming of all kinds of neat things. The author conveys how the children have a safe and warm environment and are surrounded by toys every child would love to have. The illustrator shows how the characters are all unique. The author wrote with great humor all throughout the book. Song writes in easy to understand language for all readers to enjoy.

This is basically a very funny picture book for youngsters and adults reading to them. The author and illustrator show how parents can be young at heart. The author is humorous, for example, when the parents have to man their spots at the coffeemaker to stay awake after a night of fun with the children's toys. Song conveys that children of all ages have imaginations. This book should be read from preschoolers to kindergartners. Finally, parents wanting a good belly laugh would probably get a kick out of Song’s book. A fun read for the whole family!
