Gary has been writing weekly op-ed columns since 2009. He’s also written three books. His latest novel, "DIVORCE - A Survival Guide For Men", is based on his own vast experience navigating the rough, dysfunctional waters of divorce. His first mainstream novel, "The Cliche (and other short stories for the American attention span)", is a humorously dark look at one man’s desire to find happiness out of the rubble of his crumbling marriage, failed career and side job as a pot farmer. Gary’s first children’s book, "The Christmas Takeover", explains how Santa Claus came into existence during a time when Christmas was run by Corporate America. It too is available on Amazon.com. Gary also teaches Introduction to Copywriting at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

Divorce: a Survival Guide for Men is a masterpiece by Gary Huerta. This is a guide geared toward divorced men. Mr. Huerta uses his personal experiences to counsel his peers on what to do and not to do during one's divorce process. As a matter of fact, he describes with much detail how to avoid getting into a messy divorce even before a man gets married. He goes on to explain what a man should do to stay on his best behavior during his divorce proceedings and how to communicate effectively with his ex, especially if she doesn’t have the door open for communication.
Divorce: a Survival Guide for Men is a fantastic read. The book is 200 pages long, but it was so delightful that I read it in just one sitting. It gave me some great laughs. Mr. Huerta is hilarious. He got the best out of every situation he experienced and used humor to help his fellows go through the hurdles of divorce the proper way. His witty sense of humor as well as his jokes made me fall in love with this book. I felt sympathetic to his ordeal, but also delighted with the way he handled everything. Being a woman myself, and not a divorcee, I plan to keep his advice for future reference. It may come in handy in maintaining a healthy relationship and definitely a happy future marriage. Although this book was meant to help guys, I also think that any woman in a relationship can benefit from it.
