Diary of a Drunken Space Pirate: A Prologue - Part One is a sci-fi space opera novel by J.R. Leilies. With every civilization and habitable planet across the galaxy falling under the relentless onslaught of the Federation, Valhalla, a hidden mountain city in an otherwise Jurassic world, remains the only sanctuary for people still resisting the Federation's ruthless regime. After killing off his own greedy father in a duel, Zaul Xavior inherits his family's infamous legacy, including the pirate spaceship, Swan. While traversing the unknown edges of the galaxy, Zaul stumbles upon an all-women Amazonian civilization. Enamored with the Amazonian warrior princess Lilli'une, Zaul must now help her people prepare for a seemingly impossible fight with the Federation. But to do so, the ultimate sacrifice may be required as Zaul and his new wife soon discover.
Imagine The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise set in space, and you'll probably end up with something like Diary of a Drunken Space Pirate. Author J.R. Leilies's engaging sci-fi tale keeps you entertained from the get-go with its epic space battle sequences, an intoxicating romance involving two star-crossed lovers, and creative worldbuilding you can't help but immerse yourself in completely. The plot moves at a brisk pace, with timely reveals and twists and turns that always keep you guessing what's going to happen next. The relationship between Zaul and Lilli'une acts as the narrative thrust of the story. If you're a fan of sci-fi space opera fiction, I can't recommend Diary of a Drunken Space Pirate enough.
