If you’re in the mood for an utterly riveting read, look no further than the suspense-filled romantic novel Desolation Gulch by Jessica Jesinghaus. In fact, it won’t be long after the romance begins that you’ll sense the tension rising in yourself as the female protagonist, Valerie, is swept off her feet by Fallon, only to soon find herself in something a lot closer to a psychological thriller than a romance.
Valerie is smitten so hard and so fast by the handsome, debonair and wealthy Fallon that she hardly has time to think clearly. How is this happening? How could someone she’s just met seem to know her so well. It’s almost as if he could read her mind. But of course, that’s impossible, right? No, more than likely Fallon is the soulmate every female dreams of finding…until he begins controlling her every move. Suddenly he is no longer enchanting; Valerie feels she is suffocating, and worse yet, she is becoming terrified. Why? You’ll have to read Desolation Gulch to find out and finding out will keep you flipping pages faster than you can read.
This is a neatly crafted story by Jessica Jesinghaus that introduces some intriguing concepts and possibilities. This is about more than the control a narcissistic, possessive and obsessed man can have over a woman. Fortunately, it’s also about the power of true love. Desolation Gulch is a delicious blend of good and evil, both in theme and characters. Readers come away thinking, “But what if someone truly had this kind of power over another?” Then you will hope that it won’t be you who will be victimized by that power. This is one gripping read!
