Demon Stalker (Volume 1) by Michael E. Fulkerson is a fantastical urban story. Jake Steele is Special Forces. During a mission that should never have happened in Afghanistan, his entire team is lost. Back at home, alcohol and PTSD take over his life and, after losing his fifteenth job in a year, he is talked into committing a crime by an old friend. Jake is killed but his story has just started. Seventy-two Demon Kings roam the earth. When they appear, Armageddon is approaching and a demon stalker is the only way to stop them. Demon stalkers have the strongest powers and Jake has been offered the job. Is he up to it or are the demons from his living years going to hold him back?
Demon Stalker (Volume 1) by Michael E. Fulkerson is something quite different. A mixture of before and after death urban action with a paranormal twist, this is a story that will hold your attention all the way through. The plot is unique; it moves at a good pace and there is plenty of action. The characters have been exceptionally well-written and Michael Fulkerson has demonstrated an incredible imagination, not to mention a way with words that draws the reader in and holds them until the story ends. I’ve not read anything quite like this before and I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it or not, but I was pleasantly surprised. Michael Fulkerson is an excellent writer and I will definitely be looking for more from him. Good story, and thoroughly recommended if you want a story that is just a little bit out of the ordinary.
