Dealing With The Spirit of Rejection is a 31-day Christian devotional journal by Tamisa S. Lundy. Just like Jesus was rejected by his church, family, and friends, Christians should not be surprised when they experience rejection even from fellow believers. In this book, the author highlights key scriptures that will encourage you in times of rejection and remind you that God loves you and is always there for you. The author encourages Christians not to seek vengeance but to forgive, and be kind to everyone, including people who reject them. Finally, do not change who you are to be accepted or please people who do not love or care for you, but always represent Christ.
We have all experienced rejection and felt unloved and abandoned. These feelings can manifest immediately or after many years in the form of drug abuse or people-pleasing. Tamisa S. Lundy gives helpful tips and scriptures to help you overcome these feelings and avoid dire consequences. The author mentions social issues such as child and domestic abuse, racism, divorce, and adoption that have left people with feelings of rejection, and for all these, she gives an answer from the Lord. The book has a smooth flow and a consistent format. It also has a fill-in-the-blanks, word scramble, and word search at the end of the book, which was unexpected and unique. I enjoyed reading Dealing With The Spirit of Rejection and recommend it to both believers and non-believers because it has vital lessons that can help anyone overcome the effects of rejection.
