Deaf Ghosts at Eerie Elementary - True Biz! by Deborah Love is a fantastic and fun story about a fifth grader named Molly Brown. Molly is different from everyone at Eerie Elementary because she is Deaf and has attended a Deaf school all her life. She wants a change and to challenge herself. Adapting to an all-hearing school is difficult as there are so many things she has to learn, and she has to overcome a bully that calls her Moldy. Between watching her interpreter Mrs. Heart and her teacher Mr. Goodman in a fast-paced classroom, Molly has to keep up. She gets a mysterious invitation on her desk one day and discovers that a whole army of vibrantly colored ghosts is there to help her adjust to her new school. With their support and ingenuity, Molly finds herself speeding up in her learning.
