Dare To Tell by Tara Fox Hall Is a horror and murder mystery novel. Someone is killing people in Evergreen, and this is not the first time. Jean Bane is new in town and can see the ghosts of Evergreen Hall, which has an enchanting view and has been turned into a bed and breakfast by its owner, Carlton Fairhaven IV. Despite his troubles, Carlton has returned to Evergreen after a long absence to establish businesses and help the community. His timing is unfortunate because a murderer is at large. Carlton is the prime suspect because his family members have been accused of murders for generations. When Jean decides to investigate the killings, she joins forces with the ghosts of the past and present to get to the bottom of this mystery. Is Carlton Fairhaven IV the killer, could someone have been framing him and his family for years, or has Jean lost her mind to the point that she is committing the murders herself?
This is an exciting horror fantasy story. I loved how Tara Fox Hall brought everything to life with vivid descriptions. The characters and the scenes were detailed and fascinating. The book was fast-paced and had a flowing dialogue, making it a quick read and easy to follow. Despite the book's dark themes, the author managed to infuse romance and some comedy into the story. This is a good read for people that love horror mystery novels. Dare To Tell also includes serial murders and can be enjoyed by readers who love that aspect of the murder mystery genre.
