Cut Her Out In Little Stars is a sci-fi romance novel written by Daniele Kasper. Cara DeLeon's humdrum life turns upside down after a subway train accident as she finds herself inexplicably transported to a thousand years into the future on a Confederation spaceship named Archon. Archon's Commander Nikolas Caine, leader of the Confederation Fleet, initially suspects her to be a Hostile -- a group of dangerous rebels at war with the Confederation. But after learning her true origins, Caine finds himself gradually drawn toward her. Cara, in turn, reciprocates his feelings, and they start a burgeoning relationship. However, it puts a target on Cara's back as the Hostiles become increasingly desperate and dangerous. Cara must now use every inch of her resolve to survive, while Caine must stop history from repeating itself.
Cut Her Out In Little Stars is a sci-fi epic filled with romance, drama, action, and political intrigue. Moving at a brisk pace, the plot provides plenty of twists and turns to make you turn the pages with eager anticipation of what's to come. Author Daniele Kasper crafts a galaxy-spanning tale portraying an empire involved in a perpetual war with a rebel group, showcasing perspectives from both sides of the conflict to provide a realistic depiction of the nature of war. The characters feel fleshed out with backstories that explain their complex motives. Cara and Caine's relationship forms the backbone of the narrative. I enjoyed Cut Her Out In Little Stars. If you're into sci-fi romances, I highly recommend it.
