What can go wrong when you go camping with your family? Probably nothing, as long as you stay safe under a big tree and near the fire... but be careful when night falls as you may encounter the NugNugs. What are the NugNugs? They are little creatures with big, bright eyes that threaten to sing their cursed song if you do not return to your tent immediately. This is what happens to the young protagonist of this funny story, who meets them one night. How will it end with the strange creatures? Patrick Cormier will tell you about it in Curse of the NugNugs: A Camping Story.
I had a lot of fun reading Curse of the NugNugs since camping is an experience everyone should have. Patrick Cormier made it even more fun and magical thanks to the young protagonist's unexpected encounter with the NugNugs. Who has never feared meeting mysterious creatures while walking in the dark? It will be easy for young readers to relate to the characters in this story. The lovely illustrations and rhymes add to the adventure's intrigue and enjoyment, and I must admit that reading the strange creatures' threats is especially amusing. The unexpected ending is perfect for such an incredible story. This book will surely captivate young readers by highlighting the magical side of camping and darkness and make them realize that not everything in the dark is bad. I highly recommend Curse of the NugNugs to adventurous young readers who love entertaining stories with a surprising ending.
