Cold Hearted Son Of A Witch by M.R. Mathias is book two in the authors Dragoneers Saga. All readers who like high fantasy will enjoy this series very much. With the fate of all people and their kingdom in jeopardy, five dragons with five riders must defend the fate of not only the kingdom but all peoples. In order to save the Crown Prince Richard who has been afflicted with the Goblin Kings poison, dragoneers Zahrellion and Rikky embark on a special quest. They need to gather mushrooms that only grow on the night of the full moon in the serpents dung. These are the only ones potent enough to pull out the poison. Dragoneer Jenka has his own mission to attend to. He has to escort the Kings Rangers back to their country and try and find a special map which eventually leads him to more than he had bargained for. Once at the castle, all five dragoneers and their dragons meet up to fight to save the kingdom.
A fantasy book has to be good for me to be able to get into and I found this book interesting. It showed us good versus evil as we encountered trolls, elves, dragons, witches, sorcery and witchcraft. If you enjoy reading J.R Tolkin, C.S. Lewis and other fantasy writers then I feel like you will enjoy this saga. I do recommend reading the first books in the saga in order to better understand what is happening in this one.
