I am a sucker for a good romance novel, and when you couple that with the spectacular Christmas season it can’t possibly get any better! I really enjoyed how each story expressed the characters’ pain and anguish, as well as the love that blossomed from overcoming their challenges, which was truly exceptional when combined with the air of Christmas. The stories were delivered concisely without lacking in their intimate and passionate aspects. Truly a joy to read!

In "The Flying Doctor’s Christmas Wish," Alex and Tilly are best friends but never dreamed they would be fake fiances one day. Pretending was difficult because they started having feelings for each other, but could this happen to best friends? There's lots of Christmas fun and laughter with the sweetest romance in Alex and Tilly's story. In "The Cynical Doctor’s Christmas Wish," Luca wants nothing to do with women after Cassandra leaves him standing at the altar, but when they both end up working at the same hospital and Cassandra doesn't recognize Luca, his life is about to change. I loved these two characters and enjoyed their story as it unfolds. There are a few surprises at the Christmas reunion.

In "The Brooding Doctor’s Christmas Wish," Kyle and Holly haven't been together for years, but Holly is back and with a son. Could this shocking news bring the two together for Christmas? It took a while for me to warm up to Kyle and Holly, but they were good people, and they had Holly's son to think about. I think Ryder does a fantastic job writing this story and weaving everything together to make it a heartwarming Christmas for everyone. I think "A Christmas Hope" was perhaps the saddest story because of Jack and Louise's terrible loss. My heart hurt for them because even though they live together, they are far apart. Again Ryder writes a heartwarming story that will have you in tears as she weaves this story together and finds healing and help with an ending that you will remember for a while.

Each of these stories by Kathleen Ryder brings hope and healing to the unique characters and often readers will have the same issues dealt with here in the stories. I like the way Ryder handles each situation. She has a really nice writing style.
