The soul-stirring poetry collection Cherry Blossoms by Liesel Kippen features poems that celebrate life’s simple, beautiful moments. It also contains poignant poems but, ultimately, the collection inspires love and hope. The poems find inspiration from everyday events and objects such as daylight, the sky, and darkness and creatively use them to enlighten and uplift. The poem Life Though Imperfect can Beautifully Entice expounds upon the different phases of life. The overwhelming presence of doubt and fear is replaced by joy, and love brings calm and strength during times of pain and sadness. The collection also contains many verses that wonderfully capture nature’s beauty. Through nature, the collection derives lessons about faith and life and instills a sense of peace. Other poems also encourage us to love and care for others in our current uncertain times.
The powerful descriptions in Cherry Blossoms evoke many feelings including those of happiness and serenity. The collection contains profound verses that inspired me to reflect and appreciate ordinary moments and the gifts offered by nature. Beautiful illustrations that contain a sense of nostalgia enhance the excellent collection as they capture the themes explored in the poems and depict the moods of the poems. I loved the timely lessons within the book about kindness and love. There are also many encouraging reminders that life is a collection of many moments and that difficult times also pass. Cherry Blossoms by Liesel Kippen is a delightful array of poems whose poetic elements turn ordinary moments into beautiful scenes. It contains important and hope-filled messages relevant to our world.
