The Chains of Prophecy (Samuel Buckland Chronicles Volume 1), written by Jason Crawford, tells the story of an accountant who is in denial of his God-given gift, and a businessman who had a huge ambition to fulfill. Samuel Buckland was an accountant at a prestigious firm. Gregory Caitlin, on the other hand, was a world renowned businessman who had just announced his intention to run for Governor of California. Everything was going well for Samuel until he got fired from his firm for doing a small investigation on Gregory. However, things started to turn in a different direction when Samuel visited his parents and found out about the family legacy. In addition to that, Gregory, who was doing an underground research, made a connection to Samuel's family. Both then became more deeply involved in this battle, each claiming to be on the side of God.
I loved reading The Chains of Prophecy. It got me hooked even before Chapter one. Firstly, it has an awesome story line which Jason Crawford wove seamlessly with the other elements. It does show. Reading chapter after chapter, I can see how connected the individual ideas are and how logically these are arranged. Secondly, it doesn't have too much nor does it have too little. It was presented in a way that you focus on this particular story, but you are still aware of the other little stories and that these help you understand the whole novel better. Lastly, this original story is an inspiration. It made me believe I can turn around and become a better person. It made me look at things positively and it comforted me with the thought that God loves me, no matter what. This book really is a must-read for everyone.
