Breaking News of Tomorrow by Igor Chirashnya is a chilling political thriller. Mike’s life is nothing special. He plods along at his job but is fed up with not getting anywhere. His life changes when he stumbles across a website called Breaking News of Tomorrow. At first, he thought it was some kind of hoax, but it doesn’t take him long to realize it’s very real. A murderer is running amok in his neighborhood, and the website details the murders – before they happen. Mike and his wife think that the murderer is behind the website, but things are about to take a much darker turn. Mike isn’t the only one who has found the website – a crack reporter, the FBI, and the Russian FIS all want to know who’s behind it. Nobody is safe anymore, and Mike has to make an impossible choice. Armed with the knowledge of major events before they happen, will Mike fall foul of the power granted to him, or is his family more important?
Breaking News of Tomorrow by Igor Chirashnya is one of those books that make you go, “Wow!” An action-packed account, it is fast-paced and thrilling, a tale that might just make you think hard about your own life and your morals – what would you do if you learned of events the day before they happened? As a debut novel, this is one of the best thrillers I have ever had the pleasure of reading, and it will keep you on your toes all the way through. The characters are vivid with strong personalities, and love or hate them, you’ll be inexorably drawn to them and their intriguing backstories. The attention to detail is what makes this story, allowing you to follow it and live it – leaving you with questions to which you may not want the answers. I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller and highly recommended it to anyone who wonders what they might do if they had a glimpse of the future.
