The adventures of young Braidy von Althuis have now reached the fifth chapter and, as in all great sagas, the best is yet to come. In Braidy von Althuis and the Final Fight, Cassidy Dwelis and her young readers find Braidy's family in a daunting and difficult situation. Braidy's father is in the clutches of Azra, Queen of Djinn, and almost all the relatives are devoid of "magick." The chance of freeing Braidy's father seems very slim under these circumstances, but with the help of friends (and even enemies), Azra's defeat may not be impossible... But whether this is will happen or not is for the young reader to find out.
Having read other books by Cassidy Dwelis, I knew that Braidy von Althuis and the Final Fight would be enjoyable and unforgettable. I can imagine how much this story will appeal to a young reader who loves "magick" and adventures because a lot goes on in this book. The vicissitudes of Braidy and his family seem to have no end, thanks to Dwelis' creativity. I have deep sympathy for Braidy, but besides him, I appreciated the variety of characters that Dwelis presents with the other family members. In particular, I liked how Blockhead has changed since the beginning (in this book, he will surprise everyone). Braidy von Althuis and the Final Fight is an amazing story, but young readers will appreciate it more after reading the other books in the series. I recommend that they start from the first and enjoy their journey in the company of Braidy and his friends. They will not be disappointed.
