Boundless Sea, book three of the Sacred Breath Series by Nadia Scrieva, starts us off on a sad note. The pregnant queen and her sister are still missing and the kingdom of Adlivun is in turmoil. The world has been made aware of the existence of the undersea kingdom and Adlivun is willing to co-operate with the government, hoping for some help in fighting a common enemy, the Clan of Zalcan. General Visola is fiercely using all her power, wit, and manipulative skills to get her way and, with the help of her husband, to protect her dear ones. Trevain is devastated by the fact that his wife is missing and Elandria has became even more timid and withdrawn. Queen Aazuria on the other hand, is still being held by Prince Zalcan Hamnil; and she will need all her will and strength if she is ever going to survive and go back to her people.
Once again, Nadia Scrieva delivered an amazing story and then some. The story gets more intense and more engaging with every new book that is published. Boundless Sea has showcased all the main characters more by showing the personality of each as they face excruciatingly trying times. The story still takes us through the beautiful, breathtaking underworld, but it is marred by several sad moments. Not that there is anything wrong with that; it only highlights Nadia's writing skill more by the way she manages to blend these sad moments in the story and still put a smile on your face. I totally loved the first two books, but book three made me add Nadia Scrieva to my list of favorite authors. The series is addictive and I am immediately grabbing book 4 after this.
