Biomechanics of Your Body: A Simplified Way to Learn Human Movement and Muscles by Tracy L. Markley makes a potentially complicated topic fun to read. Markley describes advanced musculature and the movements of many muscles in the human body. Various illustrations show important musculature and link this to the different bodily activities. The author delves into the locations and functions of the many muscles and muscle groups. She focuses equally on the upper and lower body groups and how they affect each other. Markley provides a holistic overview of all the skeletal bones in a brief introductory section, then pictorially shows the anterior (front) and posterior (back) anatomy. The book includes a glossary that is most useful and interesting.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this informative book. The author provides excellent explanations and makes the work of the muscles easy to understand. Everyone will enjoy the many attractive illustrations. The study of advanced human anatomy is simplified. Readers will also love the graphics and well-chosen colors. The text is to the point and lacks verbosity. I love that the fonts and those used for delineating the body parts were large. Everyone should read Biomechanics of Your Body: A Simplified Way to Learn Human Movement and Muscles by Tracy L. Markley, as it may prevent later bodily pain due to incorrect posture. Therapists and other health-related occupations will find this information beneficial.
