Bingo is a kitten in a new home. Today is the first day he has been allowed out of the house. Bingo is excited to be out in the fresh air. He is a curious cat and wants to explore his new world. He chews on a dry plant, enjoying the way it feels on his tongue. A truck is a fascinating place to climb. Jimmy the cat appears to be grouchy but soon they make friends. A tree in the yard was too tempting for Bingo to resist; up he climbs like a squirrel. The view is amazing. A rooster stepping high with spurs attract the kitten. Bingo is ready to go back inside for a nap. He curls up on his blanket, his eyes slowly shut as Bingo dreams of a mouse.
Bingo's Big Adventure is a delightful book. The bright colored photographs introduce readers to Bingo. Julia King is both the author of this book and the owner of Bingo. She successfully describes the world through Bingo’s eyes. Much like human children, Bingo is curious and wants to explore his world. King encourages parents to read to young children. Their love for reading and for books will be strengthened when introduced to them at a young age. This book will also encourage children to explore their world.
I love this book. I love to read and I love cats. I read this book to nine months old Khloe and four year old Maddix. They both wanted me to read it again and again. Most children’s books are illustrated with paintings or drawings. This author chose actual photos to highlight Bingo. Toddlers through third graders will love this book.
